How does it work?

The Monimoto trailer tracking platform has three main components:

GPS trailer tracking device
The trailer tracker is the heart of Monimoto’s security system. It tracks your trailer location via GPS on road or off-road. The tracker also includes a movement sensor. Just hide the tracker inside or outside your trailer. With a sturdy build and weatherproof casing, it will withstand any harsh weather conditions.

The Key Fob
This is your virtual key for the trailer tracker. With the fob nearby, the trailer tracker will instantly recognize that it is you using the vehicle, disarming the GPS tracker. Enter the truck and drive away - your Key Fob will deactivate the trailer tracker from a reasonable distance.

Trailer GPS tracker app
The app will instantly notify you when it detects unauthorized trailer movement. You will also receive a phone call to react immediately. The app will track your trailer location, helping to recover the vehicle in case it gets stolen.

Tracking your trailer the practical way

At Monimoto practicality comes first. As with high-end car security systems, we use the Key Fob to arm and disarm the trailer tracking device. No extra buttons to press, nothing to tap on an app. The tracker recognizes the Key Fob when you are near your trailer and knows that this use is authorized. Just jump in the cabin and you are ready to go! As soon as you leave your trailer - say for a coffee break over a long journey - the GPS tracker is armed, and any movement without the Key Fob in the trailer's proximity is tracked and reported.

Monimoto’s trailer GPS tracker can be paired with up to 3 Key Fobs, allowing your family members or extra employees to seamlessly use the trailer with their truck.

How to set up Monimoto trailer GPS tracker

Prepare the devices
Your Monimoto Key Fob and trailer tracker both come with batteries included. Simply remove the white plastic contact tabs from the battery housings and you’re ready for the next step.

Install the app
Download the official Monimoto app onto your smartphone [Google and Apple]. Open the app and follow the instructions to pair your Monimoto devices.

Install the tracker
Find a good secure place for the GPS tracker inside or outside your trailer. The harder it is to see or reach, the better. That’s it. You’re ready to go!
