Monimoto is a battery-powered GPS tracker for cars that calls your phone within about a minute if your car moves without you. It needs no wiring and no OBD port, so it never uses the car battery and keeps working if the car battery is disconnected. How does it work?

Monimoto’s car tracking device consists of three simple components - the automobile tracking device, the Key Fob, and the Monimoto app on your smartphone.

Tracking your car the practical way

There are plenty of car GPS trackers on the market, offering various features and tracking capabilities. At Monimoto practicality comes first. As with high-end car security systems, we use the Key Fob to arm and disarm the car tracking device. No extra buttons to press, nothing to tap on an app. The tracker recognizes the Key Fob when you are near your car and knows that this use is authorized. As soon as you leave your vehicle, the GPS tracker is armed, and any movement without the Key Fob near the car is tracked and reported. Monimoto’s car GPS tracker can be paired with up to 3 Key Fobs, allowing your family members to seamlessly use the vehicle. With the Key Fob as your virtual key, you may use the car GPS tracker without even noticing it, with only relevant non-authorized usage alerts.

How to set up your GPS vehicle tracker

    Prepare the devices

    Charge Monimoto 9 over USB-C before first use. Monimoto 7 and the Key Fob come with batteries fitted: just pull out the white plastic contact tabs.

    Install the app

    Download the Monimoto app from Google Play or the App Store, open it and follow the steps to pair your tracker and Key Fob.

    Install the tracker

    Hide the tracker where a thief cannot quickly find it, such as under a seat. Keep the logo side facing away from metal, because metal blocks the antennas. Your car is protected.
